PRESIDENT
Robert Cooney is President of eVision Partners, Inc., a management consulting firm focused on providing business improvement and information technology consulting services across the United States. He has been a member of The Arc of Wake County Board of Directors since 2008 and is currently the Chair of the Fundraising Committee. Previously, Robert was a member of the Wake County Library Commission from 2004-2009. He served as Chairperson from 2006 to 2008 and Vice Chairperson from 2005 to 2006. He also previously served on the Board of Directors for a charter school in Wake County. Robert has an undergraduate degree in Finance and Computer Science from Ball State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. A resident of Wake County since 1991, Robert is the parent of a teenager with special needs.

VICE PRESIDENT Dave Woody, CLU, ChFc is a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and has operated his practice for 20 years. He has been married for 28 years to his wife Judy and they have 2 boys, Marshall and Garrett. David became involved in working with children with developmental disabilities when his oldest son Marshall was diagnosed with autism 13 years ago. He is involved in the special needs ministry at his church, Crossroads Fellowship and enjoys spending time with his family, running, fishing and boating. |

SECRETARY
Sarah Smith is with The North Carolina Partnership for Children and work with local Smart Start partnerships across the state to help increase their capacity to serve the early childhood population. She received her undergraduate degree in Cultural Anthropology from Duke University and studied Public Administration at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Sarah enjoys reading, her book club, playing in a Euchre card-playing group, and practicing public speaking at Toastmasters. She learned about The Arc while volunteering in college at Duke when her sorority adopted The Arc of Durham County as its primary charitable partner. |

TREASURER
John Seibert is International Tax Senior Manager with Deloitte Tax LLP. He has worked in the field of taxation for over 15 years with public accounting firms and in government. John holds a BA and MBA degree from Wake Forest University, a law degree from the University of Florida, and an LL.M in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. He is also a CPA. John and his wife Julie are natives of North Carolina and recently returned to Raleigh with their son Will, who is in kindergarten at Wiley Elementary. John joined the The Arc's Board of Directors in December 2011. When he has free time, which is seldom, he enjoys old house restoration and playing guitar. |

PAST PRESIDENT
Jennifer Pfaltzgraff is a graphic designer. She started her own graphic design business, pfotographics, six years ago. She is the mother of two children, Madeleine, 10, and Ethan, 6. Jennifer began advocating for people with developmental disabilities when her son Ethan was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 7 months old. She joined the board of directors of The Arc of Wake County in July 2007 and was elected president in July 2008. Jennifer is also the co-chair of the Wake County LICC, a collaborative effort of parents and professionals promoting an effective early intervention system for children with special needs. Jennifer also enjoys volunteering with Madeleine’s swim team and spending time with her family. |

Laura Alden works for WCPSS as a part time special education teacher. She began her teaching career in 1995 on Long Island, New York, working in high school as a Fine Arts teacher, Special Education teacher and as a School Administrator. She is married to Ken and they have 2 daughters, Sarah, 9 and Erin, 7. Advocating for special needs children became personal when her daughter Sarah was born developmentally delayed and later diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Laura has been participating in Arc of Wake County activities since 2007, volunteering for the Annual Gala since 2010, and joins the Board of Directors in July 2011. Laura enjoys volunteering in both her daughters' classrooms as well as being a team parent to both girls' sporting teams. When she is not teaching or spending time with her husband, daughters and family dog, Ralph, she is usually busy hosting family houseguests for weekend and holiday fun. |

Nicole Caldwell is a North Carolina native. She is the partner and Clinical Director of Southeast Family Services in Raleigh. Her practice provides psychology, speech therapy, and occupational therapy for children and adolescents with developmental and cognitive disabilities. Outside of her career, Nicole has had a passion for serving individuals with disabilities her entire life including in her own family, her church, and other organizations. Nicole has been honored to serve on The Arc’s Board for the last year and would be happy to serve a full term supporting such a worthy and vital organization. Outside of her role with Southeast Family Services, Nicole is a wife and mother. She has been happily married to her very supportive husband, Justin, for almost 5 years and is the proud mommy of her energetic 2 year old, Grayson. In addition to spending time with her family, Nicole enjoys participating in activities with her church, Crossroads Fellowship, and supporting NC State athletics. |

Andy Delbridge, prior hospital CEO, three time cancer survivor, serves his church and family. Currently Andy has served one term as the Secretary for The Arc of Wake County Board of Directors. |

Lisa Hanson is the proud mother of four children. Ryan (21), Arika (20), Jack and Carter (4). She has the honor to stay at home with the twins. Carter has hydrocephalus and has developed cerebral palsy as a result of the brain injury. He and his brother are in preschool and are developing into strong, handsome young men. Ryan and Arika moved to Florida after graduating high school. Lisa first became involved with The Arc in 2008, as co-chair of The No Hassle Valentines Ball. Lisa has served as a high school youth leader, cheerleading coach, mentor to children of all ages. She has also worked as a paralegal. Lisa is undoubtedly one of the biggest Dallas Cowboys fans you will ever meet! She also enjoys the beach, mountains, boating, traveling, and skydiving. |

Caroline J Harper, known as CJ to friends and colleagues, has resided in the Raleigh area since 1990. CJ and her husband Michael are the parents of one son, Karlos. She enjoys being a life-long learner and volunteers in several community organizations. Her goal is to leave life better off than she found. She believes achievement is possible regardless of ability. She advocates for services for students with learning disabilities. CJ attended college in Jackson, Mississippi, where she received a B.S. in Biology; she received her Masters of Public Administration in Urban Management and Strategic Planning from North Carolina State University in 1997. She works in local government and has been employed by Wake County as a Program Planner and Analyst since 2002. She currently serves as the Research and Evaluation Manager for Human Services. |

Jeffrey Horsman has been an active member of People We Are [PWA], The Arc of Wake County’s self-advocacy group, for many years. He currently holds the position of Past President on PWA. Jeffrey is a graduate of Bob Jones University, located in Greenville, South Carolina. He currently works full time for the State Employee’s Credit Union and enjoys his role in our community as a self-advocate. Jeff is the board representative from the self-advocacy group, People We Are. |

Rose Reaves, self advocate, is originally from Dunn, North Carolina and currently resides in Raleigh. She joined The Arc’s board over 10 years ago. She also serves on the board of directors for First In Families of Wake County. Rose has been employed by Papa Johns pizza in Raleigh for over 7 years. She is a member of North Haven Baptist Church. She is committed to volunteering in her community whenever possible. In her spare time, Rose enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. |

Blake Scott, self advocate, is a graduate of Leesville Road High School and attended the compensatory education class (CED) at Wake Technical Community College. Formerly of Raleigh, Blake is now enjoying independent living in Cary. Blake loves staying active with church and volunteer activities. Blake joined the board of Directors in July 2008 and currently sits on the fundraising and events planning committees. |

Sunanda Tademeti, known as Sue to friends and colleagues, has resided in the Raleigh area since 1989. Sue has a BS in Psychology, Social Work and Economics from St.Theresa's College, India. Sue and her husband Pani Tademeti who works for Office of State Personnel in Raleigh are the parents of two daughter’s Sri-Harish and Radhika. Sue worked for Department of Secretary Of State for 7 years. Responsible for all support functions of the Charitable Solicitations (CSL) Licensing Division, and issue the license for non-profit organizations. She also has one year experinece with Alcohol and Law Enforcement Division and maintained their undercover operations reports. She also volunteers her time at local temple activities and her hobbies are travelling, teaching classical music. She plays a classical Indian string instrument, the Veena. |

Wendy Whitener is the Business Development Director for Carnival Cruise Lines. She began her career at Carnival Cruise Lines in 1999 working in the Entertainment Department onboard eight Carnival Cruise Lines’ ships. In 2004, she moved back to her home state of North Carolina as the Business Development Director in Eastern North Carolina. In this position, she is responsible for working with travel agencies to help them develop their business and strategies for marketing Carnival Cruise Lines. Wendy is a member of the NC Association of Executives and the UNC Educational Foundation. She also enjoys volunteering and has recently helped raise funds for Medical University of South Carolina Children’s Hospital and Louie’s Kids, a nonprofit organization that raises funds to help treat childhood obesity and is looking forward to working with people with developmental disabilities. Wendy grew up in Hickory, NC and earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
